The Moth “Home: Lost and Found” Showcase

Nine Seattle-area residents who recently completed storytelling workshops with The Moth will tell their personal stories about homelessness at the “Home: Lost and Found” Showcase. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm.

The show is sold out, but organizers expect to release more tickets the week before the event. You can get on a wait list here. Proceeds will benefit two programs that provide backpacks and school supplies every fall to thousands of children who are homeless or at risk: School Days (YWCA Seattle ǀ King ǀ Snohomish) and Project Cool (Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness).

“Home: Lost and Found” was created to develop the storytelling skills within family homelessness providers and advocacy organizations in the Puget Sound region. Organizers invited applications from people who have a personal story related to family homelessness, who wanted to attend special workshops and learn how to craft their idea into a compelling five-minute story that can be told in front of a live audience.
