Law student Josh loves Seattle, but rising rent prices make him doubt whether he’ll be able to continue living in the city. His proposed solution: more affordable housing.
We met Josh at the “Affordable Housing: A Call to Action” event at Green Lake United Methodist Church this fall. Community members came together to learn about Seattle’s Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda, and to take action for an affordable Seattle.
The lack of affordable housing is a crisis not only in Seattle, but also in many communities across the state. Do you want to live in a community where everybody has the opportunity to live in a safe, healthy, affordable home? Then prepare to take action as we head into the state legislative session, which begins on Jan. 11:
- Register now for Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day. Join hundreds of advocates from across the state in Olympia for a day of action on Feb. 2. Meet your state legislators, and talk to them about policy issues you care about.
- Sign up to receive timely action alerts from the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance.
