Hi community! Consider this a quick advocacy buzz list in light of the state legislative session starting this Monday. We will have a lot more to share with you next week, especially regarding an awesome project we’ve been working on! But in the meantime, here are a few dates and items you may be interested in:
Firesteel legislative priorities are up!
We’ve got three for you this year so click the link to check them out. If you care about pretty, you may want to wait until Denise is back from vacation and has had a chance to polish them up early next week. If you just want the quick and dirty, then all the basic info is there now.
Registration for Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is open
We are partnering with the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance in a lot of ways this year again. Most importantly, Advocacy Day is happening on February 17th and we’d love to see you there! In order to prepare ahead of time, we are also excited to share the following two dates with you:
- January 27th-Advocacy training over Google + Hangout. If you’ve been with us in previous years, you might recognize this example and this one.
- February 3rd-Social Media of Action Day. We tried this out last year and the internet exploded with entertaining advocacy memes! Here is a preview of what potentially to expect this year:
